Siraha: Sabal Nepal, under the Up-scaling WASH System Strengthening Approach in the Terai Region of Nepal (NPL 1082)<\/em> Project, supported by BMZ, VCA, and Welthungerhilfe (WHH),\u00a0 conducted an orientation on the Role of Child Club Members in WASH<\/em> at Shree Laxmi Secondary School in Bishnupur Rural Municipality, Siraha. This initiative aimed to empower students as key advocates for safe water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) practices within their schools and communities.<\/p>\n

Child club members across five working municipalities are being equipped with essential tools, knowledge, and skills to lead WASH campaigns, maintain sanitation facilities, and promote hygiene practices among their peers.<\/p>\n

Mr. Manik Kamati, Municipal Coordinator, facilitated the session, highlighting the crucial role children play in transforming WASH outcomes in schools. The participants actively engaged in discussions and hands-on activities, showing their enthusiasm to lead positive changes in both their schools and villages.<\/p>\n

This orientation is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen WASH systems in the Terai region and ensure the sustainability of water and sanitation services by actively involving students and school clubs as change agents.<\/p>\n
