Nagarkot : A four day training on Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant (FSTP) design is currently underway in Nagarkot.<\/p>\n

The training has been organized with the objective of enhancing the technical knowledge required for the effective design of faecal sludge treatment plants, informed Rajendra Shrestha, Executive Director of the Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO).<\/p>\n

The training is being jointly organized in Nagarkot by the National Water Supply and Sanitation Research, Innovation and Capacity Development Center and the Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO), with support from the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) and Welthungerhilfe (WHH).<\/p>\n

A total of 38 participants from various municipalities, development partner organizations, and the private sector are taking part in the training. According to training coordinator Chandra Shobha Khaitu, the program has provided an important platform for technical learning, experience sharing, and capacity strengthening among participants.<\/p>\n

The training is expected to develop the knowledge, skills, and practical experience necessary for the effective design of faecal sludge management and treatment infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Executive Director Shrestha expressed confidence that the initiative will significantly contribute to strengthening the technical capacity of local governments and relevant stakeholders, thereby promoting safe sanitation systems.<\/p>\n
