The event aimed to promote awareness on menstrual health and hygiene and encourage open discussions on menstruation-related issues.<\/p>\n<p>The program featured an interactive awareness session on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) facilitated by Ms. Saru Deshar, Hygiene Officer, Centre for Integrated Urban Development (CIUD). The session covered the biological background of menstruation, the menstrual cycle, physical and emotional changes experienced during menstruation, and the importance of maintaining proper menstrual hygiene practices.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-50114\" src=\"https:\/\/washkhabar.com\/np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/19583.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"655\" srcset=\"https:\/\/washkhabar.com\/np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/19583.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/washkhabar.com\/np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/19583-300x154.jpg 300w, https:\/\/washkhabar.com\/np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/19583-1024x524.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/washkhabar.com\/np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/19583-768x393.jpg 768w, https:\/\/washkhabar.com\/np\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/19583-330x170.jpg 330w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Participants discussed common misconceptions and cultural taboos associated with menstruation and shared their personal experiences related to menstrual health. Women openly reflected on the challenges they faced in the past regarding access to information, menstrual products, and social restrictions during menstruation. These discussions provided an opportunity for participants to learn from one another and better understand the importance of menstrual health and dignity.<\/p>\n<p>Ward representatives and Female Community Health Volunteers emphasized the need for continued community awareness and support to ensure that women and girls can manage menstruation safely and confidently.
