Dhading : Environment and Public Health Organization (ENPHO)in coordination with Shanti Nepal successfully organized on-demand Master Training of Trainers on Delivering Effective WASH Training (MToT on DEWT) from 19 to 23 April, 2021at Dhading Beshi, Dhading. The training was provided to staffs of Municipality, Rural Municipality, Water Supply and Sanitation Division Office (WSSDO) and NGOs of Dhadingwith an aim to enhance knowledge and skills of the participants to deliver WASH training effectively.
The training was chaired by Mr. Jaganath Nepal, Chairperson, District Coordination Committee, Dhading. Mr. EkrajChhatkuli, Chairperson, NGO Federation and Mr. Rajaram Sharma, Chairperson, Federation of National Journalism resided as special guests for the event.
A five days MToT on DEWTshared knowledge and skills on how to facilitatate and adapt lessons to address learners needs; create safe and equitable learning environment; motivate learners;presentation skill;ask effective questions; active listening and learning;support stages of learning; and respond to challenging training situations.
Dr. Krishna Man Shakya, Executive Director of Shanti Nepal during his special remarks shared, “Health coordinators, ward members, staff of water and sanitation division office and different NGOs have participatedin this training who are responsible to develop the WASH plan and implementationin the rural municipalities/ municipalities level.As this training has helped the participants gain knowledge on WASH and enhance their skill to deliver WASH training more effectively.I hope this MToT on DEWT will support to meet the target of declaring Dhading district as ‘Clean and Hygienic District’ by 2023 and achieve Total Sanitation by 2025 (the target goals set by District Level Conference 2076).I am very grateful toENPHO for providing theirtechnical support to successfully organizesuch an effective training on WASH.”
Altogether, 22 individuals including 14 male and 8female participantsfrom Rural Municipalities/Municipalities, WSSDO and NGOs of Dhadingactively participated during the training.
